Considering Your Move To Central New York
Our "tag Line "We love what we do & SO will You!" are not just words. We actual enjoy our work Keller Williams Realty Syracuse, which involves showing out-of-towners, new transplants and existing residents looking for a place to live in the Syracuse & Central New York area all of the diverse housing options, great neighborhoods and cultural amenities the city has to offer.
Why central New York & city of Syracuse?
Up state has so much to offer. Beginning with some of the lowest prices for homeownership in the national. When out of towners come to the Syracuse region they are amazed at home much home they get for their money. Next they are happy to see some fo the best schools around. Private or public, CNY has some terrific schools systems from Manlius Pebble Hill and Christian Brothers Academy or East Sryacuse Minoa and Jamesville-Dewitt, just to name a couple. These public and private schools offer students a excellent education in a safe environment.
Next I would tell you about CNY natural beauty, with lush warm green summers to snowy white winters. We have four beautifu seasons here in Upstate New York and Onondaga County. So if you enjoy sledding, skiing, skating snowmobiling, snowboarding, ice fishing or any winter activity CNY has the winter climate. Yet in summer you will enjoy 85-95 degree days on a myriad of lakes, beaches and wonderful state, county and local parks. Fifteen to twenty minutes in any direction is a lake.
What would you encourage first-time visitors to experience while they’re in Syracuse?
I would say check out the food, from Little Italy on the cities north side or some great downtown dining or make your way out to any one of the cities suburbs where you will find some great restaurants and dining experiences. Syracuse is a melting pot of cultures and ethnicities bringing a multitude of diverse dining. From some of the very best upscale Italian dining to Thai, Vietnamese, Moroccan, or Hispanic dining you can find it here. However, if you are a first time visitor- I would encourage you take in some of the natural beauty of the area. Take a ride up to Green Lakes State park and check out the This scenic 18-hole course, with its plush fairways, is one of the first golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, one of the game's most innovative golf course architects. Green Lakes State Park's landscape and rolling terrain tests all playing abilities. The course has deep faced bunkers and golfers rarely receive a flat lie. Errant tee shots may be costly. There is a panoramic view from the Robert Trent Jones clubhouse featuring a public restaurant with a sports bar atmosphere. Next trip take a short ride to Highland State Park for breath taking views and a great hike in the outdoors. One of my favorite is Labrador Hollow located on the southern edge of Onondaga county. So much to see and do.
What cultural assets does CNY & Syracuse offer?
Once again I begin with Education. Syracuse University offers one of the finest educations in the country yet there is Lemoyne College and Onondaga community college both outstanding educational experiences. Down town form the beautiful Landmark theatre with wonderful "Broadway Shows" from Famous artists or enjoy world class plays at Syracuse Stage. For sporting events there, of course is Syracuse College basketball, football, lacrosse and more. Professional Syracuse hosts the Syracuse Crunch hockey and The Syracuse mets baseball. The Everson Museum host events and shows throughout the year. Almost Week Cultural festivals run throughout the summer- be it the Festa Italiano, the October Fest- the Polish Fest- the Latino Festival or Juneteenth Festival there is something going on every week.
